Hi all! I’ve been living in my foster home for almost 2 months. I’m loving all the attention that they give me. I was very lucky and got to go to Pet Fest recently where I got so much love and attention. I was very well behaved and let everyone pet me. I would be happy to live in a home with family members of any age. I do still pull a bit on the leash. My foster mom broke her hand and hasn’t been able to take me on many walks to practice with me.

My anxiety is a little better with my medication, but I will still bark if I’m left at home alone for longer than a couple hours. I also have what we think is a cataract in my left eye. I have an appointment to have it checked in early April. LEARN is willing to pay for the initial appointment and the treatment recommended by the ophthalmologist…but I am ready for my forever home now!

I spend most of my time snuggling on the couch next to my foster mom, chewing on an antler or sleeping.  I do have some energy and will bounce happily when you get home or new friends come over.

I’m looking for my forever family…hoping it’s someone who is home most of the day, so I don’t have to be by myself. Could it be you?

Hi! My name is Abby and I’m a 74lb, 10 year old labbie. I came to WI from Illinois in early January after being surrendered. I’m loving my foster home and family!

I am friendly, outgoing and have been told that I have the spirit of a much younger dog! I love to snuggle and have my belly rubbed. If you stop rubbing before I’m ready, I’ll let you know! I’ll also give really big juicy kisses, so get ready! I love to chew, so my foster mom has lots of Kongs and hard chew toys for me. Sometimes I play tug of war with my foster sister if she has the one I want. We get along really well. I also don’t mind the house cats, so a home with cats would be fine. I enjoy taking walks and am working on my leash manners. I’m usually so excited to be out and about that I pull my walker along. I also get a little jumpy when I’m excited, but I calm down quickly with a reminder and some attention. Because of this I might be better in a home with older children and a higher fence.

I have some separation anxiety so I’m wearing a special collar and have started taking some medication. I want to be wherever my foster mom is, kind of like her shadow.  I would do well with a family where someone is home part or most of the day. I’m working very hard on potty training and have only had a couple accidents when I’m left alone too long.

I am waiting to see a doctor to have my eyes checked. Please come back and check on me soon! You might be exactly who I’m waiting for to be my forever family!
