01/09/17 Update on Bo.

Happy New Year from Bo.  I have completed all my necessary heartworm treatments and can now run around.

My foster parents moved just before Christmas.  So I have 11 new acres to play in and explore.  I was a little unsure about the move as this was my forth new place in four months but settled in to the new home nicely.  They tell me I am a really good boy as I do not potty in the house and will not take food off the counter.

During Christmas we had so many people come over . .  I just love meeting new people.  My foster cousin, Lukas, came over to meet me for the first time.  Lukas is 6 and has Down syndrome.  He and I became great buddies.  I got to eat all the cookies (very gently) out of his hand, and he even played with me and my purple stuff animal.  I am great with other animals . . . some of our visitors brought their dogs, and I live with 2 cats and my canine foster sister, Maple.

Some of my favorite things to do are:  sleep on the couch; cuddle on the couch; lie on your lap (yes, I am a 70+ lb lap dog); watch my foster Dad work on the house (he says if I had hands I could help out); and go to work with my foster Mom.  Oh, did I tell you I only have 3 legs?  That doesn't stop me from running around and playing with Maple.  My foster Mom says I need some training so we started dog training classes.  I do know some commands but only listen when I feel like it.

My wish for the new year is to have a forever home who will work with me and be patient during my next move.

12/10/16 Bo is wrapping up his heartworm treatment and is now ready to meet families and find his forever home.  Please let LEARN know if you are interested in meeting him.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bo is a great dog!  He is happy to just be with you.  Bo is an owner surrender because his family couldn't take care of him any longer. Bo was underweight and heartworm positive when he was surrendered.  We are working on putting weight on him, and he is making progress.
Bo is a 3-legged dog.  He had his rear leg removed when he was a puppy, and it doesn't seem to slow him down.  He gets along very well without it.
He must have been a house dog; he is house-trained and does not counter surf or beg.  He can use some training on sit, lie down and heal.  We are currently working on wait and stay.
Most days Bo goes to work with his foster mom or to doggy day care with his canine foster sister, Maple.
More updates to come as Bo makes this journey to become a healthy dog.
