ADOPTION PENDING Clare here. Wow! Life has been scary up to this point, but I am learning to trust people. My story is a little strange. I was picked up as a stray not only once but twice!! The 2nd time it took them a long time to catch me, I was so afraid of everything. These nice volunteers from the Humane Society took me to their home as a foster because I was so stressed out. They realized that I needed more help then they could offer and contacted LEARN. So here I am in my new foster home, I love, love, love my foster companions, and the kitty loves me to chase her. I must not have ever had the chance to play with other doggies or toys, I am curious but at this point just like to watch. I am warming up to my foster parents . . . they mean well and tell me they love me all the time. I have learned to hang out with my foster family and not hide in the bedroom. I even let foster Dad brush me yesterday. I am food-motivated and come running when it is meal time. I also take treats very gently. I don't like to go outside very much; I think that is where all the scary stuff happened. I'm working with a teacher who helps shy dogs. She says I am not the worst she has seen, and I will come out of this with a brand new outlook in life!! :-) I am looking for a family who will continue to work with me.
